Rules and data sources
Fresh evening sell, then buy back the SAME contracts on the next trading morning. No reuse of morning sale proceeds.
Expiry evening uses only contracts expiring after that evening and not before buyback. The selected option expiry can be later than the weekly cycle being studied.
NSE F&O 2026 holidays shift Tuesday expiry to the previous trading day. Weekend and holiday closures are skipped. Calendar support is limited to 2026.
Trend filter uses NIFTY at the entry minute versus that morning's open, never the later daily close. Missing entry marks are excluded from directional filters.
Daily NIFTY data is context only. Missing option prices are not estimated from index moves. Minute candle closes may only be known a minute later; no guaranteed bid/ask fills.
No overnight stop execution, intranight maximum loss or margin-call simulation. Endpoint drawdown can understate risk. No return-on-capital estimate.
Rules explored after observing this sample are in-sample hypotheses. Future untouched observations are needed before judging an edge.
